Chicago trio Dehd have a sound all their own filled with shining and melancholy undertones that fluctuate from synth-powered heartland rock to from-the-gutters howl. Their latest album, Flower of Devotion, features guitar lines that flirt with ticklish cosmic country, one-two rhythmic thumps and skittering beats, with descending vocal counter-melodies that can sound like The B-52s shaking off heartache.
